Artist's Description
Another view of my 3D model of a 1955 Peterbilt based on the truck used in the 1971 movie "Duel" (Steven Spielberg's first film) this time emerging from a tunnel. I saw the film as a kid and its always been one of my favorites so I decided to build my own truck here on the computer. I built my model using Art of Illusion and I've been working on it off and on for over four years making little changes here and there. The model features over 200 parts and I used color maps that I made by painting samples on cardboard with acrylic craft paint and photographing and downloading them. The final rendering was heavily touched-up using Gimp 2. Thanks for looking!

I work in a wide variety of mediums including painting, drawing, sculpture and computer graphics. I grew up drawing cartoons and building model cars, tanks and planes so naturally this interest has had a big influence upon my artwork. I am especailly interested in antique machinery and vehicles of all kinds.
