Artist's Description
This is a digital collage I created with Gimp2. I used my Ryan PT-22 painting in the background, then added a photo of an original 1942 "How to Fly" book that a friend gave me. I used Serif Draw Plus for the graphics, and Gimp2 for airbrushing and touch ups.
About Stuart Swartz
I work in a wide variety of mediums including painting, drawing, sculpture and computer graphics. I grew up drawing cartoons and building model cars, tanks and planes so naturally this interest has had a big influence upon my artwork. I am especailly interested in antique machinery and vehicles of all kinds. Over the last couple years I've had several people ask about creating some Christmas cards featuring my artwork so I've added a Chritmas card gallery. Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy my work! I also have T-shirts and other items featuring my artwork available on Zazzle.com, store name StusPlace
